Therapeutic day school, evaluation services, and more.
Many Paths to Potential
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in school. Wheeler creates and supports this opportunity through an array of programs and services for students ages 5-22 with complex social, emotional, developmental, learning and/or behavioral challenges.
Helping Youth to Thrive
Northwest Village School offers a state-of-the-art learning environment that encourages growth and discovery. Wheeler's teachers bring an array of subjects to life in a sensory-sensitive environment that includes engaging classrooms and innovative tools for learning.
Designed to Meet the Needs of Youth
Wheeler offers evaluation and assessment services to assist with educational placement decisions and identify programs that meet students' needs, including an autism diagnostic evaluation program, serving youth ages 3 to 21, at our 91 Northwest Drive, Plainville and 20 Tuttle Place, Middletown locations.
Support for Students and Families
Our education services are supported by Wheeler's broad continuum of behavioral health and primary care services, including our outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults; early childhood programs; on-site pharmacy at 91 Northwest Dr., operated by Genoa, a Qol Healthcare Company; and Family Health & Wellness Centers in Bristol, New Britain, Hartford, Plainville, and Waterbury.
