School-based health centers

Wheeler’s school-based health centers provide individual behavioral health services as well as linkage to other services in the community, including connections with primary and dental care, and a broad continuum of outpatient and community-based care. Services are trauma-informed and available on an individual and group therapy basis.

Northwest Village School

Located at 91 Northwest Drive, the school offers a state-of-the-art learning environment and resources that encourage growth and discovery. Our teachers bring an array of subjects to life in a sensory-sensitive environment that includes engaging classrooms and innovative tools for learning. Students from K through age 21 can prepare for the future using the latest technology, and they are engaged in recreational and creative activities in the school’s gym and performance space.

Where to find us


Wheeler is located in, or operates programs from, more than 30 locations across Connecticut. Every year, residents from more than 90 percent of Connecticut's cities and towns use some Wheeler service.

Wheeler's Family Health & Wellness Centers are funded in part by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an operating division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Wheeler is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).

Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial health insurance welcome. No patient will be denied health care services due to an individual’s inability to pay for services.
