Bringing Fresh, Local Produce to Our Communities

Farm to Family: Fresh Food for Better Health

Wheeler’s Farm to Family program connects individuals and families with free, fresh, locally grown produce—making healthy eating more accessible for everyone. Through our partnership with Holcomb Farm, we distribute fruits and vegetables weekly at Wheeler community health centers across Connecticut during the growing season.

This program supports our commitment to whole-person health by addressing food insecurity and promoting better nutrition in the communities we serve.

Produce Distribution Hours:
Wednesdays, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Available at all five Wheeler Family Health & Wellness Centers.

No registration required—just stop by and take home fresh food for your family!

Expanding Access to Fresh, Local Produce

Our Partnership with Holcomb Farm to Support Community Health

We have expanded our longstanding partnership with Holcomb Farm to increase access to fresh, nutritious produce for Wheeler patients and families across Connecticut. Each year, Holcomb Farm provides farm-fresh vegetables to all five of Wheeler’s Family Health & Wellness Centers.

This collaboration, funded through private philanthropy from the Corsini and Brantner families and community support, strengthens our Farm to Family initiative, which addresses food insecurity as a critical part of whole-person health. By bringing healthy, locally grown food directly to our health centers, we’re helping patients eat well, feel better, and build healthier lives.
