Perspectives from Our Team
Healthcare Quality Week, October 19 - 25, 2025, helps to showcase, recognize, and celebrate the contribution of healthcare quality experts in their various organizations. This annual observance is presented by the National Association for Healthcare Quality. Our talented team shares their unique perspectives on their work and what Quality means.
Quality Data Manager
"In my first weeks with the Quality Department, I have already seen the passionate collaboration across Wheeler’s teams that has been driving ongoing improvement in the care we provide. I’m proud to be part an organization where quality, understanding and warmth are truly a shared commitment. As I grow in this role, I look forward to supporting all of the dedicated efforts that enhance our services and strengthen the trust that Wheeler has built with the communities we serve."
Director of Clinical Quality
"I see my work improving care and services for our patients, clients, and communities by advancing clinical quality through attention to detail, data-driven decision-making, and meaningful patient engagement. By fostering integration, coordination, and clear communication among care teams, I support continuous quality improvement efforts that lead to safer, more effective, and patient-centered care, ultimately strengthening outcomes and community trust."
Senior Manager, Central Records Unit
"I see my work improving the care and services for our patients/clients by ensuring that they(patient/client/guardian) or third parties received the information they need to complete a service for our patient/client, whether that service is representation for a legal purpose or coordination of care with another provider. Our prompt response to our patient/client needs ensures less anxiety felt by the patient/client/guardian."
Quality Specialist, II
"I see my work improving the care and services we provide by ensuring that data is consistently used to guide decision-making and drive improvements. Through collection and analysis of information from our various tools and risk assessments, we are able to identify risks and opportunities that directly impact patient care, staff safety, and the overall environment. This approach supports a safer and patient-centered environment and strengthens our commitment to quality and safety for all."
Senior Director of Quality
"My work improves the care and services for our patients/clients and communities we serve because I ensure that the organization and its employees have the information, resources, and support to provide the highest standard of care. It is critical that our employees are well-informed and up to date on current regulations and best practices which helps them to approach their work with patients/clients with knowledge, respect, integrity, and kindness."
Quality Specialist
"My goal is to use patient feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance the quality of care we provide to all individuals."
Quality Manager
Working in healthcare quality provides endless opportunities to foster an environment in which clients feel heard and supported and staff feel safe and empowered. Through our work we help to ensure services provided are equitable and are meeting the needs of the diverse communities Wheeler serves. Healthcare quality continually assesses workflows, manages risk and improves processes to strive for high-quality services for patients/clients and support staff with the life changing work they do each and every day.
Vice President of Quality Operations
As a healthcare quality professional, I see it as a privilege to work closely with our service providers and managers to ensure that we provide the best possible care to those we serve. One of the most meaningful parts of this work for me is supporting our staff who are doing the hard work. If I can answer a complex question, help solve a problem, or provide reassurance in some way, then that in turn helps them confidently provide high quality, safe and responsive care to everyone.
